I was hesitant to spend $600 on the Dyson Airwrap, but I bought it as a Christmas present. I’ve been using it on my curly hair for two weeks now and it’s been a huge time saver. It’s expensive, but if you style your hair the way I do, I believe it’s worth it.

I finally gave in and got a Dyson Airwrap hair dryer last month.
As someone who has more coils than curls on my head, I’m willing to try anything to keep my hair healthy and save time on styling.
But I was hesitant to spend $600 on a hair tool unless I was completely sure it was worth the money. Until my TikTok For You page was flooded with review videos.
I was convinced of this after seeing several creators similar to me have positive first impressions. Airwrap has jumped to the top of my Christmas list.
I settled on the Dyson Airwrap Complete Long Diffuse dryer. The website says it’s specifically for coiled or curly hair.

Unlike the Dyson Airwrap Multi Styler Complete Long, which is sold out on the official website, the model I purchased comes with a comb and diffuser attachment, which are essential for styling curly hair.
It came with 6 attachments for hair styling and a brush attachment for cleaning the bottom filter. The main body of the styler has buttons to control wind speed, temperature, and a cold shot button to set the style.

I’ve had the Airwrap for less than a month, and it’s been a huge help when blow drying my hair. The brush and comb attachment is my favorite so far as it helps detangle hair faster.

Dyson says it uses jet engine technology to style and dry without heat damage, but we haven’t seen any noticeable signs of damage yet. However, thanks to my extensive use of Airwrap, my hair has remained long and long.
Unfortunately, the barrel brush is too big for the length of my hair, so I can fluff it more than I can curl or style it. For another $40, you can get a smaller barrel that is more suitable for your current length.

I’m a keeper
I don’t consider myself wealthy, so I probably won’t be collecting $600 worth of hair products. But Airwrap is a tool I plan on using for years to come.
Since adding this to my hair routine, I’ve noticed that my styles last longer and I hardly need to use heat to achieve the look I want.
Once you find something that works for your hair, stick with it. While some may see this as an overpriced hair dryer, I consider it an investment in your everyday look.
