Beyoncé gives BeyHive a beautiful gift. Her hair care brand Cécred is available now.

Fans have been waiting for this moment since May 16, when Beyoncé took a break from her Renaissance World Tour content to tease on her Instagram feed that she was “building” something special. (Although some people begged her to stop using hair care.)

In a carousel of photos that included Beyoncé styling her hair with an unmarked bottle on her dressing table and a much younger Beyoncé braiding her hair, the megastar was the last to appear. I asked on the slide. What about mom’s salon hair? ”

Her caption continues, “I was exposed to so many different kinds of entrepreneurial women at her salon. The way we grow and celebrate our hair touches our souls.” I have seen with my own eyes how it directly affects so many women. I have learned so much in my hair journey. , I have always dreamed of carrying on her legacy.”

And while Mrs. Knowles-Carter, 42, embarks on a 39-city tour around the world, releases a concert film and even announces a second act, fans continue to wait and presumably spend money (unspent). He must have been saving up. There’s also a disco-inspired cowboy hat and a bottle of her fragrance.

“Hair is sacred. The journey begins on February 20th,” Beyoncé wrote in an Instagram post on February 6th, past (at her mother Tina Knowles’ former Houston salon, Headliners) and present (when you blink. , showed a clip of Bey’s head leaning back in the salon bowl (you’ll miss it). The brand’s future brand name is a combination of part of her name and the word “sacred.”

Meanwhile, on Secred’s newly launched Instagram, the brand reassured: Secred is coming. Please mark 2.20.24 on your calendar. ”

And now the wait is over.

Secred is inspired by and celebrates hair care rituals from around the world. Therefore, it is also suitable for all hair textures and types.

Also inspired by Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, Beyoncé mixes highly technical formulas with rich butters and oils to optimize the health of her clients’ hair. I was observing the situation.

“I became a mixologist,” Knowles, who joined the brand as vice chairman, told Essence. “At the time, there were no products that combined high-tech hair care with moisturizers and oils to provide essential nourishment for textured and colored hair. So I mixed the two.”

Beyoncé spoke to Essence about the amazing experience of witnessing the physical and other changes that occurred while Knowles cared for her clients.

“A lot of who I am came from her salon,” she said. “That’s my foundation, and as an artist, I think a lot of my bold experiments with hair are inspired by art and sculpture. Getting creative with braids. Coming up with new techniques. And I’m looking for ways to keep my hair growing while feeling great with protective styles and wigs. It all stems from my experience growing up in my mom’s salon. .

Speaking of experimentation, Beyoncé’s own decades-long career and the creativity she puts into each of her hairstyles (from braids to coloring to hair glue) also helped shape Secred. Ta.

Launching Cécred — what else? — the Foundation Collection is an assortment of eight products (housed in sculpturally textured bottles) that cleanse, condition, and strengthen hair. It utilizes the brand’s bioactive keratin fermentation, described as “a patent-pending technology made from wool-derived keratin,” and specifically honey.
