The 2024 Cosmetify Hair Care report ranks the top 10 most popular hair care products of the past year.
Amika’s Perk Up Dry Shampoo saw a huge 239% increase in annual searches with 2.2 million searches. He has a large social media presence with 561 TikTok posts and 1,783 Instagram posts.
Color Wow Dream Coat Anti-Moisture Hairspray saw the biggest increase in annual searches, from 658,000 to 984,500. Hair care influencer Chris Appleton highlighted the spray’s ability to block moisture and keep hairstyles smooth, which inspired its popularity on TikTok.
Moroccanoil Treatment and Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil took third place.
Annual searches for Moroccanoiltreatment increased by 40% and Olaplex by 16%. These products also have a large presence on Instagram, with Moroccanoil Treatment featured in 32,812 posts and Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil featured in 19,714 posts.
