Hair Type: My hair is incredibly thick, wavy, and fluffy Middle Eastern hair.
Oribe dry texture spray
Ever since Travis Speck instinctively gave me a French-girl bob at Sweet Caroline last spring, I’ve noticed that when I push my hair in that direction, the ends flip. I like that. Sometimes I opt for a piece like Karen Duffy in Dumb and Dumber, using a treatment like Sangre de Frutta Hair Elixir. If not, you’ll need some type of grippy texture spray. After trying them all for 10 years, Oribe’s is still my top. —Arden Fanning Andrews, Beauty Editor
Hair Type: Very fine, so it feels like a toddler’s first whip, mostly straight but with some surprising bends.

Rōz Hair Healthy Hair Kit
I’ve been using Rōz’s Foundation shampoo and conditioner ever since they were released. Its scent is heavenly (Mara, you’re a genius!) and it’s infused with a vegetable oil blend of grapeseed, walnut oil, ginger root extract, and frankincense for a natural scent. Waves look best when left to air dry. Santa Lucia and Willow Glen Treatments are two other staples I use for styling and moisturizing respectively. What more can I say? Buy the whole kit! This is one of those rare complete systems that I really like and use all the time. —Talia Abbas, Senior Shopping Editor

Shu Uemura Essence Absolu Nourishing Protective Hair Oil
Shu Uemura
Essence Absolue Nourishing Protective Hair Oil
Hair type changes in various directions depending on the day. Some days it’s straight (hello, winter) and other days it’s curly (yay, summer!). This is the best hair oil I’ve ever tried to tame the beast, regardless of the weather, without making me think, “Did I wash my hair?” Paranoia caused by excessively heavy products. Plus, it smells like a dream. —Chloe Sharma, Senior Editor
Motions Style & Create Versatile Foam Styling Lotion
motion
A foam styling lotion that can be styled and used for many purposes.
My wavy, curly, and very curly hair is the most high-maintenance part of my routine when I have the time and energy. I chose an old-school set (set in rollers with mousse, brushed out, I like to create styles that are finished with hairspray. Cool (Shalom Harlow, Linda Evangelista). This Motion Foam was recommended to me by Jessica Gillin of Jenna Perry Hair (she used it in cosmetology school) and is great when paired with hair transplants or velvet rollers. (I prefer Conair’s products over Velcro or textured ones because they give a frizz-free and shiny finish.) To do this, let your hair dry, then run the lather into small sections. Wrap the hair tightly upwards around the hot hair. roller. Once your entire head has cooled, untangle your hair and brush it with a Sisley hairbrush, which has very stiff bristles and a massaging feel. Finally, use R+Co Featherlight Hairspray to give it the final shape. It smells amazing and allows your hair to move while retaining its shape. —Margaux Anbouba, Senior Beauty Editor
