One thing to consider before starting a finasteride treatment plan is that a small number of users experience sexual side effects (decreased libido, difficulty getting an erection) from the pills. In very rare cases, finasteride can cause more severe side effects, so it is important to consider your medical history and consult a health care professional before taking it. Still, there’s a good reason why this 1 mg daily finasteride tablet remains a mainstay of Hims’ product range. Because it works.
Experts recommend using the minoxidil/finasteride/tadalafil combination option only after understanding how oral finasteride affects your sex drive. If so, a combined version may be right for you. or,
ED medications do not cover larger problems or other health concerns.

topical finasteride
Applying finasteride topically rather than orally is also becoming more popular. Many brands also offer combination topicals that allow you to apply both minoxidil and finasteride together once a day. Hims offers topical combination sprays and serums in addition to oral medications. I’m a big fan of oral minoxidil, but I think Hims’ combination spray and serum is the true “gold standard” because it gives the most results. Side effects are minimized.

Ketoconazole
While there’s really no such thing as a hair loss shampoo, most dermatologists say that dandruff shampoos with ketoconazole are one of the best ways to incorporate hair fixation into your shampooing routine. Sho. In addition to controlling dandruff, it also helps inhibit DHT collection in the hair follicles, making it a great 2-in-1 ingredient.
That’s why I particularly like Hims’ topical compound, which combines minoxidil, finasteride, and ketoconazole (with a little biotin as a snack). A full coat press that prevents hair follicles from becoming smaller. I use the term “gold standard” a little too liberally, but Him’s continues to one-up their products and continue to raise the bar.

Gummy
Hims positions biotin-enriched supplements as a great way to grow hair thicker and faster. Yes, you may notice improved growth, but biotin alone won’t help you maintain your hair. However, if you decide to incorporate this tasty little treat into your daily hair care routine, give it a try. However, don’t place too much weight on the “hair retention” claims. FWIW, there are plenty of other great supplement options out there, such as Nutrafol, which has DHT-fighting ingredients like saw palmetto and ashwagandha (although these aren’t as deliciously chewy, cute, or fluffy as Him’s Kumagumi) ).

His hair care: reviews
Hims’ hair care lineup consists mainly of shampoo and conditioner duos that help add volume to fine, thinning or limp hair, as well as shampoos and conditioners that visibly thicken each strand when rinsed temporarily. It does a great job of supporting existing hair growth efforts by providing a duo of conditioners. Improved overall satiety. (For the latter, conditioner is more important in that it coats the hair and gives it a fuller feel, but its effect tends to wear off by the end of the day.)
The brand also has a great detox shampoo with Zinc Pyritone to help balance dandruff and itchiness, making it perfect as a regular scalp ‘toner’ to keep irritation at bay, even if you don’t experience dandruff regularly. Still, I wish the shampoo had a ketoconazole option. Because Ketoconazole works very effectively in the hair removal lineup. Again, there is no shampoo that will prevent hair loss, but ketoconazole is one active ingredient that fights dandruff that helps prevent DHT buildup on the scalp.

hair dye
Hims also offers hybrid hair dye/conditioners, but they are only available at retailers like Target, not Hims’ own website. Currently, you can choose from four colors: light brown, medium brown, dark brown, and black. Each one “blends” light or gray hair, hiding salt and pepper for a nice neutral tone. And it won’t leave behind a block color dye job. (Full disclosure: I have never tested these.)
