Black students at California Lutheran often cite a lack of hair care services in their neighborhoods as a barrier to their sense of belonging and overall well-being. In living our commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community for all students at Cal Lutheran, the Center for Cultural Engagement & Inclusion will provide regular barbering and braiding services to students. We are proud to continue our Crown Care Program (formerly known as Hair Time). There is no cost.

How to apply for a reservation
This program aims to reduce the lack of appropriate local hair care services for students with curly and coily hair. Therefore, we will give priority to students with hair type between 3a and 4c. We also accommodate people with hair types between 1a and 2c, as long as space allows. Please click the “Reservation Request” button below to submit your reservation request. If we receive more reservations than we can accommodate for sessions, we will close the form.
