Some celebrities wait for the quietest possible moment to announce their biggest personal — and not just aesthetic — advancements. They calculate the best time when there are no high-profile events and no major world news to ensure attention is drawn to them. But Victoria Beckham doesn’t need to do that. She can casually debut a fresh style and make waves no matter what else is going on, even in the middle of Paris Fashion Week. That’s exactly what happened when Beckham’s new long bob was spotted in France on Sept. 23, just days before her eponymous fashion brand’s Spring/Summer 2025 runway show.
It seems like everything the singer-turned-designer does makes headlines, but this physical transformation is especially exciting. For years now, Beckham has stuck to one trademark hairstyle: a light shade of golden brunette with long, rib-length waves. Of course, she’s famously experimented with other hair lengths in the past (more on that later), but she’s stuck with a flowing, blown-out look for quite some time. Until now. Beckham was just spotted out in Paris with a long, collarbone-length lob with fresh highlights at the ends.

This collarbone-length style is commonly referred to as the “clavi cut.” The style became popular earlier this year and has been worn by Beckham’s fellow stars, including Eva Longoria, Kerry Washington, and Joey King. Typically a little longer than a classic lob (though it depends a lot on the wearer’s neck length), the cut is popular because it’s fresh, clean, and versatile. It’s also incredibly easy to maintain, and doesn’t require frequent trips to the salon for touch-ups. “It’s easy to style without needing to cut it often, and it’s so versatile that a quarterly haircut is enough,” celebrity hairstylist Anilsa Sanchez explained to TZR earlier this year.
Of course, Beckham herself doesn’t have short hair — who could forget the absolutely iconic asymmetrical pixie she sported for much of the mid-2000s?
