Cardi B isn’t afraid to get aesthetically experimental even when she’s lounging at home, but Paris Fashion Week is a game-changer for her, too. Every year, she skips the domestic shows (as well as London and Milan), preferring to save her energy for the French catwalks. Perhaps that’s part of why she’s able to pull off so many different looks in such a short period of time. For example, in the past 24 hours alone, Cardi went from wearing long red hair at Rabanne’s Spring/Summer 2025 show to a complete flip at Mugler the following afternoon, sporting a short, gothic, jet-black pixie cut. Even by celebrity standards, that’s a pretty extreme turnaround time, but it’s also what makes Cardi such a unique style icon in the first place.
Rabanne was the first Parisian show of the international trip that began three weeks after the “Enough” rapper gave birth to her third child. She walked out in a chainmail-like gold gown covered in reflective cutouts and a curled wig that cascaded down to her waist. In a cohesive color scheme, the hairpiece was dyed a soothing gingersnap shade that reflected the warmth of the dress.

The overall effect was reminiscent of the “Botticelli waves” trend that took off among celebrities in 2021, evoking the cascade of golden-red curls seen in the Italian master’s “The Birth of Venus.” Adding height and volume to Cardi’s face-framing hair gave the timeless style a modern edge, but it wasn’t long before she tried something even bolder.
For Mugler, one of Cardi’s favorite designers, she went in the opposite direction: She wore a jet-black pixie cut that was super glossy and shiny, with bat-wing pointy bangs. It was a high-fashion take on a Hot Topic hairstyle, especially since the bangs were so long they covered her eyes.

If they can do all this in just 24 hours, what else do they have planned for the rest of Paris Fashion Week?
