Shannon Sharpe has been accused of being anti-black after hurling the “horsehair” insult at a user on social media. The 56-year-old met with Mr. X on Wednesday night (September 25) to answer the allegations raised by Mr. X’s sports commentary.
“My problem is that @ShannonSharpe never talks about the disrespect experienced by the rest of the women at W,” @SpikeTeeJoint wrote on the social media platform early Tuesday morning. He went on to explain his own opinion that Sharpe is defending Caitlin Clark over the rest of the league, even though they all face the same unfair remarks.
“That’s your problem, not mine. I have no problem with anything I’ve said regarding the WNBA and its players, past or present,” Sharpe responded.

From there, an account with the username @ungodlywests and profile picture of Megan Thee Stallion accused the former NFL player of not seeing his own bias.
“Why are you coming to my page?” he replied. “Are you stealing two hairs from another horse?” Stop trying to kill my vibe. ”
Other users joined in the exchange, calling the podcast host “anti-Black” and “disgusting.”
“What’s even more anti-black is like saying there are two black people you guys don’t know. I’m not going to go on TL and talk recklessly, but some of you do. 4. You’re anti-Black and you’re back-dancing. Take what you give,” Sharp said, trying to dispel rumors of anti-Black behavior. He counterattacked by declaring that he had “never” done so.
After responding to some critics, Sharp decided to take the high road and distance itself from the digital controversy.
“September 25, 2024 at 6:06 pm. 2 I no longer respond to negative comments. I am not a serious person. I have children, and if they were like this… I will be angry with them if they react. This is beneath me. Please pray for me too.”
