It’s been several months since rumors surfaced that Sally Beauty was discontinuing its Kenya Moore hair care line, but the brand is still available through retailers.
To recap: In June, Moore caused controversy after allegedly sharing explicit images of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” newcomer Brittany Eadie. The incident reportedly happened while Bravo’s cameras were rolling during the grand opening of her hair salon. As a result, Moore lost her spot on the show, and it was rumored that shortly afterwards Sally Beauty was ending her partnership with Hairline.
However, as of October, Kenya Moore’s products are still listed on Sally Beauty’s website and available for in-store pickup. Notably, there are only three items currently offered: Growth Repair Shampoo, Growth Repair Conditioner, and Restorative Growth Mask. Meanwhile, CVS, another retailer that carries Moore’s product line, offers a wider range of products, including Growth Serum, Repair & Retain Leave-In Conditioner, and Edges Hair Follicle Stimulator. Moore’s entire collection is also available on her official website.
A July email from Sally Beauty hinted that the brand would be completely discontinued by the end of the year, which could explain the decline in inventory. This suggests that Moore products may be phased out. Nevertheless, Moore’s line appears to be thriving at CVS. She recently held a pop-up event at one of her stores to meet customers and fans. Additionally, the Edges Hair Follicle Stimulator is sold exclusively at CVS, further strengthening our strong partnership with the retailer.
