A healthy, full head of hair is often said to be a person’s crowning glory.
But through her work as a hair replacement specialist, Renae Miller knows all too well that for those dealing with significant hair loss, that’s rarely the case.
Mr. Miller, of Painesville Township, has been serving people suffering from hair thinning, alopecia and other types of hair loss conditions for more than 20 years. She says that many of Mayfield Village’s Complete Image clients experience wide emotional swings throughout the exchange process, often starting out with little confidence and low self-esteem, and then changing their facial expressions. It means.

Miller argues that individuals seeking services follow a path of blind faith.
“People say they’re going to have a lot of hair, but they’re thinking about how little hair they have now,” she says.
The synthetic and natural hair used for replacement have improved significantly over the years. In the past, wigs, toppers, and wigs often took on a helmet-like appearance, but today’s versions are significantly lighter and have a more natural look.
The standards and regulations regarding using hair to create products are strict. Disinfection, DNA removal, and banning of highly flammable substances are required. In many cases, insurance companies will cover some or all of the payment for a “cranial prosthesis” (a term used to refer to a wig that is considered medically necessary).

Miller began her career right out of high school, working as a cosmetologist at Mentor’s Ladies & Gentlemen Salon, where she says she learned the value of team building and skill sharing.
Eventually, she developed a strong interest in helping people suffering from hair loss and began working at a hair replacement clinic. There she not only added certain skills, but also learned various business elements, which led to opening her own store.
“I feel like that’s my calling. I feel like that’s what I’m meant to do,” she said. “I knew hair and makeup was fun, but I felt unfulfilled. When I realized I could help people feel really good about themselves, everything changed.”
Although it can be an emotional experience, we make every effort to make you feel comfortable, and all services are conducted in a private room where you can discuss any concerns or challenges you may have. Patience and understanding are essential, Miller said, adding: “There is no judgment here.”
The process begins by evaluating your desired hairstyle, color, density, and lifestyle to determine which alternative is best.
“We want to enhance what they have rather than change their entire look,” Miller said.
In order for the hair system to be properly placed, certain measurements are taken and are considered very important.
A lightweight, breathable cap in complementary tones allows for optimal customization of your hairline area. Specially formulated medical adhesive allows for long-term wear and activities such as swimming and showering.
Miller and her staff also offer services for those seeking breast implants after undergoing a mastectomy.
She is pleased that her business attracts patrons from all over Ohio and surrounding states, and credits her staff’s personal approach, personalized service, and dedicated support system to its strong reputation. I think it’s thanks to that.
She says the first step for anyone interested in or looking for breast or hair prosthetics is to schedule a free consultation.
“We have our clients’ best interests in mind,” she said, adding that the trust gained through the right exchange can be life-changing. “Even if you feel bad, you don’t look bad, so you feel better.”
