David and Georgia Tennant celebrated their youngest son Birdie’s fifth birthday this weekend at the Tennant home.
The couple, who have children Olive (13), Wilfred (11), Doris (9), Birdie (5), and Georgia’s oldest child Ty (22), will be celebrating their daughter’s birthday. We did our best to surprise you.
In photos shared on Georgia’s Instagram page, the doting parents decorate their living room with pink, silver and gold balloons, as well as an LED light-up number 5 and a pile of balloons wrapped in pink leopard-print wrapping paper. It was displayed with presents.

Even from behind, Birdie’s golden blonde hair looked just like her mother’s as she stared at her birthday present. The youngest tenant woke up the morning of her birthday looking like she was wearing pajamas with an abstract pattern.
“The number 5 is 5,” Georgia wrote on Instagram. “And finally, it’s all me: my face, my hair, my love of chocolate and boobs, and my funny stuff.”
The mother of five continued, “She’s the glue that holds us all together. She’s the one that others rally around. She’s the one who lets us do whatever she wants. Byrd. Happy birthday,” he continued.

“I don’t know anyone who is as universally loved as this person,” Georgia wrote in a sweet Instagram post dedicated to her daughter. “She’s a character like you’ve ever met and never dreamed of. She’s kind and funny and crazy and smart and serious and quirky and today she’s 9 years old. Good luck, baby, you’re doing it beautifully.”
Georgia and David are extremely private when it comes to their children, refraining from sharing pictures of them on social media. But from time to time, they talked about their respective approaches to parenting.

In 2020, the Doctor Who star told Radio Times: “I think parenting is often sentimentalized and dismissed for consumption. My own experience as a parent is that it’s haphazard and full of triumphs and disasters. ”
Expanding on his journey to fatherhood, David also calls parenthood “one of the most special and life-affirming things that could ever happen to me.”
