Every week, Boss Hunting editors spend way too much time scouring the web for the coolest gear, food and drink, and trek-worthy destinations around the world.

Cut Bar & Grill returns to Sydney

In Sydney (never mind Australia in general), steakhouses are a dime-a-dozen affair. But despite its ubiquity, The Cut manages to stand above the rapt crowd. After having lunch there earlier this week, Team BH came to this almost unanimous realization.

Hunter Street Hospitality’s upscale chophouse concept has been on long hiatus since 2020, but lovers of the beastly protein know it’s located near The Rocks, with wood-panelled and moody lighting. You’ll be happy to know that it continues to exist in a location underground.

This scene speaks volumes about what’s on the menu. While there are plenty of perfectly satisfying pick-me-ups on the menu, like the yellowfin tuna crudo ($32) or the signature Gibson cocktail with freshly shucked Sydney Rock oysters ($35), the restaurant’s signature dishes… It would be foolish to deviate. A 450-gram slice of horribly decadent prime rib beef ($110).

Slow-cooked overnight and sliced ​​tableside to order, this dish is the foundation of a full-fledged “fucking big” luncheon. Throw in a Bombe Alaska ($19) and a few shots from the digestif trolley and you’ll be smiling all the way home, even as you slip into a blissful meat-induced coma.

Westholme Wagyu Restaurant Series

In partnership with Applejack Hospitality, Westholm Wagyu Cattle Kings will offer a series of ticketed events across the company’s portfolio of restaurants. It’s all about heroizing the noble North Australian Wagyu beef.

Taking what they call a “nature-led” approach to raising, feeding and slaughtering Wagyu beef, Westholm’s difference is reflected in three unique food experiences. This includes the very decadent MBS9+ “pure” variety. The versatile “Cross” is made to suit a variety of flavors from around the world. and “Glass,” which emphasizes terroir.
