Woman warns about washing hair incorrectly causing ‘moisture loss and frizz’

There’s a lot of debate about how often you should wash your hair, and it depends on your hair type and texture.

A hair expert who spoke to GB News warned against shampooing too often.

Even the best conditioning shampoos can strip your hair of its oils, leaving it looking dry and weak, says Mariana Eidelkind, founder of Oblique House of Hair.

She said if you want the healthiest barnet, you should avoid washing your hair more than three times a week.

She says, “Washing your hair too often can strip your hair of its natural oils, causing it to lose moisture and cause frizz.

“Instead, try washing your hair at most two to three times a week.”

People whose hair tends to get oily may use dry shampoo instead between washing their hair, but this can also cause damage.

Mariana continues, “Avoid using dry shampoo between hair washes, as it can dehydrate your hair and leave residue on your scalp.

“Instead, opt for a boar hairbrush, which distributes natural oils from your scalp throughout your hair. This is great for dealing with greasy roots and dry ends, which can be a problem with three-day hair. ”

Boar bristle brushes can condition your hair by distributing oils, but be aware that they are not suitable for all hair types.

Those who feel they need to wash their hair more regularly can benefit from professional treatments that can keep hair clean with less damage.

The expert adds: “If you need to wash your hair more often, we recommend a weekly professional scalp spa treatment that exfoliates while protecting the scalp’s natural properties.”

“This removes excess sebum and buildup and infuses the scalp with detoxifying ingredients that reduce sebum production, such as celery seed extract.”

That’s because Mariana shared six hair care tips to keep your hair looking its best and in good condition.

Women were taught the ‘number one’ hair care rules for smooth, voluminous hair, as well as advice for reducing frizz.

Various treatments and daily hair care strategies can help achieve this. Experts also shared the importance of protecting hair from the elements in autumn and winter.
