Alappuzha: A youth forcibly cut the hair of a woman who was on her way home in Kalavoor on Saturday night. The incident took place after a function organized by the club as part of Vijayadasami. Manancherry police said they have not received any complaint or filed a case in this case. However, after the incident was reported to the station, officers from the station visited the spot. A police official said, “Although no damage report has been filed, police visited the scene.”
A panchayat representative from Mararikulam South Grama Panchayat said he was aware of the incident but needed more details. “What we do know is that a woman was walking home after attending a club function when a young man came up behind her and forcibly cut her hair using scissors.
