When Dua Lipa chose red during her Radical Optimism era, there was definitely an increase in people seeking the same cherry red shade. But whether he blamed it on the change of seasons or simply liked a change of pace, the singer debuted a new dark hair color during a concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Perhaps the Old Hollywood waves and deep side parts were a nod to the weight of the venue and its history. Or perhaps Lipa replaced the red with a rich dark brown to reflect the pomp and atmosphere that comes with performing with a 53-piece orchestra, 14-piece choir, and seven-piece band. Probably. Either way, the pop superstar looked like a bombshell in the news’ Veronica Lake hair and bodycon corset dress.

Lipa’s fiery red Jean Paul Gaultier dress included a bustier bodice with a sweetheart neckline, a thigh-high slit, and a floor-grazing hemline. She paired this standout piece with long opera-length gloves, oxblood stiletto heels, and a sheer cape. It was hard to top Jessica Rabbit, but it may have been her dark hair that caught fans’ attention the most. Especially since most of her fans were just getting used to the dark merlot hue she’s favored in the past. A few months.
