It’s a sad day for redheads, as Dua Lipa has officially returned to the dark side.
On Friday, the singer announced that she was “going back to her roots,” trading in her shimmering cherry cola locks for natural dark chocolate tones.
The 29-year-old, who performed at the Royal Albert Hall with Elton John and a 53-piece orchestra, wore Jean Paul Gaultier’s design, which features corset construction, a red hue of lipstick, silk construction and ethereal layering. She wowed the venue with her custom dress. Deep red tulle.

Later that night, Dua returned to the stage wearing an operatic custom Chanel dress that featured layers of gothic black lace, a crystal-encrusted bustier detail, and beautiful beaded curtains. Tiffany jewelry gave the performers a timeless appeal, while Amina Muaddi heels injected modern glamor into the high-octane aesthetic. Of course, this could be the work of her trusty stylish Jahir Weaver.
Dua’s hair, beautifully curled to the side and parted off-center, leans toward Old Hollywood beauty ideals and was shaped by celebrity hairstylist Peter Lux.

A radiant, dewy beauty blend created by none other than Katie Jane Hughes and exquisite nails by Michelle Humphrey cement Dua Lipa’s personal fashion history book look I did.
Online, the singer said: “Last night I performed at the Royal Albert Hall in my hometown of London. Standing in the middle of that room and standing on the shoulders of the giants who have performed there before me, I felt that the energy of last night will last forever. It will be etched in my heart. This is something I have dreamed of achieving for many years.”
She continued: “I think the roar of the crowd last night echoed throughout London. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a very, very special night last night. I’m crying just writing this!!! I want to do it again!! !”
