Drew Barrymore has been praised for appearing on TV without makeup or hair extensions.
Barrymore hosts her own chat show, The Drew Barrymore Show, which often features celebrity guests to chat about all things. And this week, she was joined by the one and only Pamela Anderson.
Recently, the Baywatch star has become something of a beauty icon after ditching her usual glamor for a more natural look.
She made headlines around the world when she debuted her face without makeup for the first time at Paris Fashion Week in 2023.

Anderson then spoke about why she chose a more natural look instead of makeup like foundation and mascara.
“That’s when I let go of the image I always had of myself,” Anderson told Better Homes & Gardens earlier this year.
“What is this cartoon character I created? Yes, it was fun, but I’m not that person anymore.”
Now, Barrymore is taking a break from Anderson’s book and ditching her makeup on today’s (October 22) episode of The Drew Barrymore Show.
So did her other guests Gillian Anderson, Gayle King and Valerie Bertinelli.
Barrymore removed not only her makeup but also her hair extensions to open up about her experience with menopause and hair loss.
Elsewhere, the Scream star admitted he felt a little self-conscious when he caught a glimpse of himself on a monitor, and admitted he felt more self-conscious than usual as he asked Gillian Anderson how it felt to be bare-faced. He noticed that he was adjusting his appearance.
“It’s a little hidden behind the glasses,” the Fall actress replied. “When I post things like TikTok, I often don’t wear makeup, but I’m especially conscious of the lighting (in the studio).”
King echoed similar sentiments, adding, “I’m comfortable taking pictures of myself without makeup, but it’s different on national television.”

All the women who chose to forego makeup for the show are being praised.
“I think it’s great that we’re starting to normalize women’s natural beauty,” one person wrote on Instagram.
Another exclaimed: “They all look so beautiful! Check out more!”
“You and other women are naturally beautiful even without makeup,” a third person wrote. “You are amazing and your natural personality makes your appearance even more beautiful.”
Meanwhile, another praised the A-list film and TV star for looking “perfect.”
“I love that she encourages her guests to do that,” another source said of Barrymore.
