A millionaire biohacker on a mission to become 18 again has revealed how he reversed male pattern baldness and regained his lustrous hair color in less than a year.
Brian Johnson, 47, is known for pursuing a wide range of treatments and therapies to lower his biological age, but it looks like he’s also turned back the needle on hair loss.
Mr Johnson said he should have been “genetically bald” by now, but after incorporating nutritional therapy, topical therapy and even mild treatments, he has now lost 70 per cent of his gray hair and has grown hair all over his head. .
Sharing his impressive results on Twitter/X, he said it’s possible for men to keep their hair “into their 40s and beyond” if they follow the right steps.
However, Mr Johnson advised that people who want to prevent hair loss should start taking action before it occurs. “Many people lose up to 50 percent of their hair without realizing it,” he writes.
He cited the benefits of protein and omega-3 fatty acids and explained that in his case, getting the right vitamins was the key to getting his hair back.
Another treatment that has solved the problem is a topical drug that Johnson, who sold his company Braintree Venmo to PayPal for $800 million in 2013, customized to his genetics.
His formula contains several ingredients, including melatonin, caffeine, and vitamin D3.
Johnson, a Utah native, also uses red light therapy, which he practices during the day while wearing a hat.
The last treatment praised by biohackers for reversing hair loss was oral minoxidil, a topical hair loss drug.
However, he stressed that it is only considered safe at low doses, as it can cause unpleasant side effects such as excessive hair growth and headaches.

News of the biohacker’s hair loss recovery comes after he revealed he recently underwent a “whole plasma” exchange to remove toxins from his body.
Plasma is the part of blood that plays an important role in transporting cells throughout the body and removing waste products from the body.
Johnson’s plasma was removed and replaced with albumin, a natural protein-based substance that helps tissue grow and repair, a procedure experts liken to an oil change for humans.
“The operator who has been doing TPE for nine years said my plasma was the cleanest he had ever seen. By far. He couldn’t get over it,” the millionaire said.

But while Mr Johnson now spends more time pursuing health and wellness, he told The Independent that it wasn’t always this way.
“I was engaging in self-destructive behavior on a daily basis, especially trying to relieve stress by eating food at 7 p.m.,” Johnson recalled. “I gained a lot of weight because of it, I couldn’t sleep well, and my life wasn’t very good because of it.”
“I basically freed myself from taking care of myself and built a system that values me more than myself,” he said.
The Independent has contacted Mr Johnson for further comment.
