Whatever your skin-related question, TikTok’s coolest dermatologist, Amna Adel, MBBS, will probably have the answer at some point. Seriously, if you want to know why Kylie Jenner uses nipple balm as lip balm or what makes you want to smear salmon sperm on your face, a London-based dermatologist can help.
Dr. Adele specializes in skin health and hair removal and constantly provides tips on both subjects to her 1.6 million followers. In doing so, she shares a ton of product recommendations that cater to a variety of concerns, including fungal acne, large pores, and greasy roots. But what does she aim for every day? We spoke to Dr. Adele about her current skin and hair care routine, and what products she has in her shower and medicine cabinet to hydrate dry skin and revitalize wavy hair. I checked to see if they are being rotated. Shop her favorites below.

Tip: If your face feels tight or flaky, you don’t need to wash it twice a day. “I usually try not to use a cleanser in the morning because my skin feels dry,” says Dr. Adele. Instead, she uses cotton pads dipped in warm water or micellar water like Bioderma’s Sensibio H2O to “quickly cleanse[her]skin.” She then dries her face before going into the rest of her routine.

Dr. Adele follows the rule of “thinnest to thickest.” That means applying your lightest skin care products first and then working your way up to heavier skin care products. “I’ve found that layering different types of moisturizing products works best for me,” she says. “When you’re wearing makeup, pilling can form under your makeup. So I find that layering a light toner, serum, and light moisturizer, then finishing with sunscreen works really well. I did.”
Let’s start with her list of serums and lotions. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that brightens the skin and prevents free radicals that cause early signs of aging. “My ultimate luxury vitamin C product has to be SkinCeuticals’ CE Ferulic,” says Dr. Adel. “It doesn’t pill and absorbs very well. For me, who has sensitive and reactive skin, it tends to work really well.”
If you don’t want to splurge too much, she also loves Drunk Elephant’s C-Luma Hydrabright Gentle Hydrabright Gentle Hydravating Vitamin C Serum. “It’s also really gentle and skin-friendly,” she says.

“Then I often opt for K-Beauty products. I love Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Hyaluronic Acid Toner,” says Dr. Adele. In addition to moisturizing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and glycerin, it is also rich in soothing ingredients such as lavender oil and bamboo shoot skin. On top of that, apply AXIS-Y’s Artichoke Intensive Skin Barrier Ampoule, which contains skin-soothing Centella asiatica and aloe vera, and licorice root extract to improve dullness.

To lock it all in, Dr. Adele reaches for Beauty Pie’s Triple Hyaluronic Acid Deep Moisture Miracle Cream. It contains hydrating hyaluronic acid and exopolysaccharides (molecules produced by probiotic bacteria) that prevent signs of aging. She finishes her morning routine with La Roche Posay’s Anthelios Tinted Sunscreen SPF 40+ to protect her skin from the sun. “It’s a very light and smooth texture, so it spreads really well,” says Dr. Adel. “I like to reapply my sunscreen if I’m going to be outside during the day, so I find the tinted ones are great because they go well with the makeup I’m already wearing.”

After long hours of seeing patients, chasing after kids, and creating social content, Dr. Adel uses an oil-based cleanser followed by a water-based cleanser to wash off her day. I think that’s the best way to remove all my makeup and sunscreen,” she says. “And it definitely makes a difference in how well all the other products you apply afterwards are absorbed into your skin.”
