As someone who struggles with eczema and an itchy scalp, I follow a science-based approach to grooming. We have strict voluntary rules that require soaps and lotions to be unscented and not approved by the National Eczema Association. It won’t even reach your cart, let alone the self-checkout line. My skin is super sensitive and flakes easily, so I’ve learned the hard way not to wash my hair too often. You must prevent your scalp from turning into a desert.
Everything changed after one fateful haircut when I painfully learned that personal hygiene is not just a suggestion, but a necessity. result? Nice little follicular infection. These are good times, aren’t they? Spoiler alert: I’m now on a mission to double-check all my setups and make sure the proper precautions are taken for a clean and safe cut. Because this is the deal. Hygiene is non-negotiable. I don’t make rules, I just avoid infection.

Cons
Oily scalp may need to omit conditioner
So now, thanks to a medicated cream courtesy of my dermatologist, I’m on a better path. But before that dreaded doctor’s visit, I found relief in Corpus shampoo and conditioner. I used it every other day for about a month and it worked wonders, dramatically reducing the itching, redness, and flakiness on my scalp.
Founded by grooming guru JP Masti (who made California’s Baxter cool before selling it to L’Oréal), Corpus started as a natural deodorant brand and operated like a fragrance house . It has since expanded to hair care, body washes and even candles, all with vegan, plant-based formulas that perfectly blend sustainability and sophistication.

And don’t ignore the obvious. The chic mint green packaging looks great on your shower shelf. But beyond the eye candy, the products are truly amazing. What’s the scent? Oh, how decadent. Cypress and cedar mingle with fresh grassy vetiver and crisp Italian bergamot. It smells like you decided to have a spa day in the woods.
A GQ favorite, this shampoo will freshen your scalp without any synthetic fragrances. It’s loaded with coconut and sunflower oil, rice protein, and vegan squalane to keep my hair healthy and strong. Use the pump for about 2 pumps, rub the scalp like a deep tissue massage, and rinse thoroughly. conditioner? Same routine. Leave it on while you scrub and rinse, then rinse. In addition to Baobab Seed Protein, which protects from UV rays and heat, it contains Tremella Mushroom Extract, which locks in moisture from roots to tips.

My hair after shower smells like it just came out of a 5 star hotel bathroom. It smells like a bunch of expensive candles that you’re too scared to light. My hair is visibly bouncier, moisturized and feels like a million bucks. Honestly, there aren’t many brands that make hair care so natural that you can eat their ingredients for lunch, but Corpus has done it beautifully. My scalp is calm, my hair is fresh, and I’m already counting down the days until my next refill. This is definitely my favorite shower duo.
