Festive meals for glowing skin and hair: Here are some Diwali-specific skin and hair care tips from a nutritionist’s perspective.

In an interview with HT Lifestyle, Dr. Rajeshwari Panda, Head of Nutrition Department, Medicover Hospital, Khargarh Navi Mumbai, recommended some Diwali-specific skin and hair care tips from a nutritionist’s perspective.
1. Diwali Skin Care Guide 2024:
Hydration is key: Drink plenty of water during the Christmas season to keep your skin hydrated and prevent dryness. Nutrient-rich diet: Consume foods rich in antioxidants, such as fruits, vegetables, and nuts, which help protect your skin from the damage caused by pollution. and free radicals. Post-Diwali Care: After the festival, wash your skin thoroughly to remove any residue from fireworks or pollutants. Use a soothing mask to moisturize and soothe your skin.
2. Hair Care Guide for Diwali 2024:
Protective Hairstyles: If you are attending an outdoor event, tie your hair in a protective style to minimize exposure to pollution and smoke. Gentle Shampoo: Use a gentle shampoo and conditioner that is appropriate for your hair type. Avoid using harsh products that can strip your hair of its natural oils. Deep Conditioning: Treat your hair with a deep conditioning treatment to repair damage caused by styling and environmental factors.
