Four years after her home gym burned down, Britney Spears is speaking out about the horrific fireplace accident.
The Princess of Pop told her Instagram followers on Monday that the “really dangerous” incident happened six months ago.

“I was in my room, I lit a fire, and all of a sudden there was fire in my face,” the singer, 42, recalled, “speaking in a British accent.”
The “Crossroads” star said she usually has security guards “come in and light it” because her fireplace “has done that before.”
“But this time, I just threw everything in there and it literally blew up in my face,” Spears said, adding, “The person I was with didn’t wake up.”

She claimed: “My eyelashes and eyebrows are all gone, and you see these bangs? These are… things that burn all over my hair.”
At the time, the Grammy winner said she feared she had second- or third-degree burns, adding: “I had to go to the emergency room because[her]face was on fire. “It won’t happen,” I thought.
Spears explained: “It hurt when I touched my phone. It hurt when I put ice on my face. It hurt when I touched anything. This went on for about six or seven hours. …The pain didn’t go away. It was very, very painful. , it was so bad.”

Finally, the performer took three Tylenol pills, which she called “a really, really big deal” and likened to “the king of shit, Vicodin,” which helped her sleep.
“Yeah, it was really bad,” Spears concluded. “Everything is fine now.”
Last year, the dancer went public about accidentally starting a candle in her home gym, showing off the charred remains on Instagram.

“I walked through the gym door and there was flames, BOOM!!!!” Spears wrote in December 2023. “By the grace of God, the alarm went off afterwards and no one was hurt. Unfortunately, I only have two pieces of equipment left now (lol) and the one-way mirror gym!!!!
“But it could have been much worse, so I’m grateful,” she continued at the time. “Well, I just like exercising outside!!!”
Spears, whose 13-year conservatorship ended in 2021, lives in a mansion in Los Angeles.
