Blake Lively’s hair care products generated $16 million in media impact value in less than a week, Launchmetrics revealed Wednesday. MIV is a unique metric that assigns true monetary value to marketing strategies across print, online, and social media to calculate return on investment.
Lively revealed Blake Brown on Instagram on July 31st. Her brand introduces routines that simplify the hair care process by eliminating the need for conditioner.

“After 7 years in the making, now my secret is yours,” the actress wrote. “We couldn’t have worked harder to bring you some great products that speak for themselves. We can’t wait for you to try them.”
Lively joins other big names in the hair care field. Beyoncé debuted her line Cécred in February, and Rihanna expanded her Fenty Beauty umbrella to launch Fenty Hair in June.
In an interview with WWD, Lively talked about her decision to enter the beauty industry. The It Ends with Us star also owns two beverage brands, Betty Buzz and Betty Booze, named after her third daughter with husband Ryan Reynolds.

“I’ve been developing[Blake Brown]for seven years, and because of this and Betty Buzz, I wanted to build and create and work, but not be on a movie set every day. There wasn’t,” Lively said. “I took four years off from acting to focus on my passions outside of acting. I literally spent years trying out formulas with this company.”
Currently available at Target and blakebrownbeauty.com, the line consists of eight products, including shampoos, hair masks, leave-in treatments, and mousses. Prices range from $18.99 to $24.99.
Blake Brown products are inspired by Lively’s unique hair care ethos of alternating systems of keratin-enriched and moisturizing formulas. All products are vegan, cruelty-free, and feature a variety of scents.
“My philosophy about hair is something I learned from people who know what they’re doing. After my first[acting]job, my hair was badly damaged and I learned how to make it better. “Someone told me to use a shampoo and mask that contains keratin, and then I need a nourishing system to give it elasticity,” Lively said.
