It’s almost that time of year when everyone is looking to change up their hair routine a little. It’s the perfect time to try out a slightly new hairstyle to welcome the new season. But if you’re like me, you’re looking for something fun, new, and yet portable that’s super easy to maintain. I just want to be able to get haircuts that make styling my hair easier, not harder. Is that too much to say?
We’ve all had haircuts before and it ended up being a lot of work. So we asked experts for low-maintenance hair advice for those with medium-length hair. We are proud to work with William Whatley (Celebrity Hairstylist), Caitlin Ellsworth (The Roslyn Salon), Bryce Scarlett (Celebrity Hairstylist), Nicky Alton (Master Stylist), Rachel Eggy (Salon Owner) ), we asked Terry Rekopf (Ippodaro Salon) for his passionate opinions. opinion. textured curtain bangs
Instagram/@brycescarlett
This textured curtain bang (parting the bangs down the middle and styling it with soft feathery layers that frame around the face) is a very versatile haircut, as shown by Daisy Edgar-Jones . These are definitely an upgrade from the classic curtain bangs you see all over the internet these days.
Celebrity hairstylist Bryce Scarlett tells us that this texture adds movement and a natural, effortless feel to the whole look, making it super easy to style. The effortless look matches the mood of this fall season.
long bob
claire craig
Celebrity hairstylist William Whatley said going for a medium-length bob gives you so many options, whether it’s layered or one-length. It’s not too short, so you can lift it up or pull it back to free up your face on days when you can’t deal with the dirt on your face, Whatley said. Whether you have a fringe on your bob or no fringe on your bob, you can create some fun options with this particular hairstyle.
One of William’s signature cuts, he especially loves creating super layered bobs that create more movement with just a blow dryer and a toss of the head. By doing so, you will create a beautiful style with volume! However, if you have an all-one-length bob, all you need to do is dry it. We love the sound of it!
long layer
nicky alton
Another great style for girls with medium length hair? Several long layers. Hairstylist Nikki Alton recommends these to keep your hair flowing while styling. According to Alton, these long layers help add “movement” to your everyday style.
Long layers also tend to stretch seamlessly, giving you a more effortless and lively look. This style is one of my personal favorites because the styling options are endless. You can wear it messy or lively, straight or curled. The world depends on your style!
Textured short to medium length cut
nicky alton
Alton also recommends this short and sweet hairstyle! We’re all about hair that’s on the short side of medium hair. This haircut is very useful for contouring your face and highlighting your features. Plus, the layered texture makes styling so much easier! Easy maintenance = big win for lazy girls!
soft layer
rachel eggy
Rachel Eggie Gibbs, owner of EGGIE Salon Studio, recommends these beautiful, soft layers and long bangs to enhance your natural hair texture. This means you can embrace your natural wave and curl patterns without extensive styling, making them easier to manage. This means curly-haired girls are approved and we want to hear it. The more it grows, the easier it is to maintain, and the less trimming you’ll need.
light layered strands
Caitlin Ellsworth
Katelyn Ellsworth from The Roslyn Salon also shared some great tips for medium length hair. She informed us that she wanted the cut to match her hair texture. If you consider yourself low-maintenance, there’s a good chance you don’t heat style your hair much on a regular basis, so you should keep that in mind when cutting your hair. (Get a haircut suitable for air drying!)
These layers will vary from person to person, given their unique textural needs. Face-framing layers fall naturally and are great for creating style without any daily effort. Lightly layered strands are also great since they don’t require much styling. No matter what you’re looking for, this simple look is definitely the best.
blunt cut
Caitlin Ellsworth
Finally, Ellsworth recommended this blunt cut for low-maintenance women. She says this cut is a great option because it makes your hair look healthy and thick without any styling. Personally, I love blunt cuts because it makes my hair look shinier and fuller.
