Before adding the GHD Max Styler to my hair routine, I needed three curling irons at once to achieve pin-straight hair. That was one of the best things about growing up with my two sisters. That said, I had two extra pairs of hands to help straighten my waist-length curly hair.
Achieving a sophisticated hairstyle as an adult is not only time-consuming, but can also damage your hair follicles. My old manual iron constantly fluctuated in temperature, which caused a frizzy, uneven patch on the top of my head and made my arms hurt after hours of work.
After years of causing heat damage to my thick hair by applying too many hot straighteners, I started to think it was impossible to achieve silky glass hair at home. . However, after getting my hands on the GHD Max Styler, my opinion completely changed. Luckily, this styler is currently on sale for under £150 (usually costs over £200) as part of the Amazon Prime Day beauty sale event. So I thought I’d share my experience in case you want to snap it up. Recommended. With all my heart.

GHD Max Styler Road Test:
I immediately noticed how light the Hot Tools felt in my hand, even when using larger styling plates than I’m accustomed to. The one I usually use is about the size of two fingers, but the GHD is about the size of three or four fingers. Additionally, the large styling plates allow you to straighten larger sections of hair at once, ultimately cutting your styling time in half. It goes from 1 hour and 15 minutes to a full 45 minutes.
Halfway through trying out a flat iron for the first time, I was impressed by the smooth texture of the entire tool, which made it easier to grip. Even when I adjusted the hair on the top of my head, the Max Styler never slipped out of my hands. This area usually requires some unusual angles and arm twists to keep the iron handle good.
Speaking of awkward angles, the Max Styler’s power cord vibrates when you move hot tools, so you don’t have to worry about getting your hair tangled or knotted in that dreaded part of your hair that you always save for last. .
Meanwhile, GHD’s Max Styler applies the same temperature each time it passes through your hair. Cold frizzy hair is a problem of the past. Just press one (and only) button on the hot tool and the ceramic plates will automatically heat up to 365 degrees Fahrenheit and maintain the same temperature the entire time you style your hair. I think of this technology as similar to cruise control.

GHD Max Styler – Verdict:
Answering my thick curly hair wishes, I no longer have to play the temperature guessing game that leaves my hair uneven and damaged. Hot tools do everything by themselves. Also, my pin-straight hair lasts up to 6 days, depending on the humidity in New York City, so I don’t have to worry about reaching for my hair multiple times a week.
According to hairstylist Cherin Choi, maintenance with a 365-degree temperature setting influences the styling results, “creating a smooth, consistent look with less damage to the hair.” Choi says simplicity is key when it comes to a user-friendly experience. As for the enlarged styling plate, Choi agrees, it takes less time to straighten and “allows for a more even heating surface area at one time.”
