Prince Harry shares some lovely details about Archie and Lilibet’s genetic traits.
Prince Harry revealed adorable details about his children Archie and Lilibet while attending the WellChild Awards recently.
halo! Speaking to magazine’s Sophie Vokes-Dudgeon, Prince Harry said his young children inherited their mother Meghan Markle’s long, thick hair.
“Archie and Lili are blessed with their mother’s thick hair,” he says, adding with a smile that it won’t be long before Lilibet will be sitting on it herself.
The heartfelt comments came as Prince Harry spoke passionately about his children ahead of the awards ceremony, where he has been a long-time patron.
Sophie said his genuine energy and love for the cause was evident and reflected the deep connection he felt on this special day.
In an interview on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, he revealed: “Spencer’s genes are very strong.
At the beginning of my relationship (with Meghan), I really, really thought that even though we were so close and we had a child, there was no way my ginger genes could compete with my wife’s genes. But I was wrong! ”
Prince Harry is embracing life at 40 with enthusiasm, encouraged by what friends say is the best decade ever.
At the recent Well Child Awards, Duchess Meghan gave a humorous update on her family life with their two children, and expressed her high expectations for the milestone year ahead.
According to Sophie, Prince Harry’s wife has her hands full not only with the children, but also with three unruly dogs and chickens who are not yet house-trained. “She’s holding the fort,” he joked, clearly enjoying his time off.
She noted that Prince Harry has been attending for years in his role as a patron and seemed to be “coming into his own” at this event.
A real pleasure for the Duke is spending time with children, parents and professionals in the evenings.
Royal editor Emily Nash, who accompanies the prince every year, said the duke was always seen playing with children, often laughing on his lap and lifting their spirits. This has taken on even more significance since he became a father himself.
