Serena Page may soon be entering the hair care industry.
Paige is the winner of Season 6 of Peacock’s Love Island USA along with her boyfriend Cordell Beckham. As AFROTECH™ previously reported, the pair split a total of $100,000 in prize money for their win.
Since leaving the show’s villa, the opportunities are endless with partnerships such as NYX Cosmetics, Dunkin’ Donuts, Spotify, and Cécred.
At the ESSENCE GU Disruptor Summit in Atlanta, Georgia on October 12, 2024, Page revealed while in the influencer bag that she wants to step into the era of businesswoman by 2025.
Her aspirations may come true as the leader of her own hair care line, which is already in development.
This isn’t her first step into entrepreneurship, as she ran a knitting business for four years while attending the University of Texas at San Antonio. As a result of her experience, she aims to target black women attending college.
“We want something that’s very easy and accessible for Black women, especially young Black women in college,” she explained at the Essence GU Disruptor Summit. “When I was in college, I knew I didn’t have money to get my hair done. Yes, I braided my hair. I had a braiding business for four years. That’s how I made money little by little. Other than that, you have to do your own hair.
Page also shared details about what fans can expect ahead of the launch, saying, “It could also be particularly useful for protective styles. Maybe things like mousse or edges that make it easier for Black women to care for their hair.”
Beckham previously told AFROTECH™ that Paige’s victory was a joy to witness as her cheerleader.
“I understand what’s going on, but I get really excited when I see other things that are changing other people’s lives and turning out to be great for them, and it just makes me smile.” Beckham explained. “Especially my daughter. There’s something going on with her, and I love it. Every time she tells me, I think, ‘Yeah, we should do that.’ It’s supportive…I just love it when she gets that bread. I like it. Seeing the smile on her face changes her happy life and everything changes. ”
