And the latest eye-catching look comes from Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar. She debuted a fresh ’70s-style cut on her Instagram page.
The actor posted a photo of herself looking gorgeous with long curtain bangs framing her face and flowing into her long, layered hair. “She’s got bangs,” Sarah wrote as the caption, and her 4.6 million followers rushed to praise her. “Murder since ’97,” one person wrote, while another commented on the similarity to singer Sabrina Carpenter’s signature hairstyle.
Sarah has hairstylist Barb Thompson to thank for her new look. This is one of the biggest hair trends right now and pairs perfectly with the bohemian revival in fashion.
Memorably, in season 3 of the teen vampire show, Buffy (very unsuccessfully) cuts her own bangs into tiny “baby bangs.” Sarah made light of this, posting a comparison photo of the two on her Instagram Story and writing, “See…the older I get, the better my decisions get.”
