Love Island USA winner Serena Page is aiming to launch a hair care business.
Love Island USA winner Serena Page is loving the “influencer era” she’s in after winning the hit reality show. But the former hair braider is aiming to return to her entrepreneurial roots.
Page headlined the Essence GU Disruptor Summit in Atlanta on Oct. 12, where he hinted that he plans to enter the “entrepreneur era” in 2025.
“As someone who we’ve seen advocate for themselves in a field where we’re often sidelined or overly criticized, who is Serena Page doing this for? It gave us a glimpse of her next era,” Essence wrote about the TV star.
Running a business is no stranger to Page, as she talked about her side job braiding hair for a living while attending the University of Texas at San Antonio. The reality star, who has an innate interest in the hair care field, revealed plans to launch her own hair care business that would be “easy and accessible” for Black women.
“I want something that’s really easy and accessible for Black women, especially young Black women in college,” she explained. “When I was in college, I knew I didn’t have money to get my hair done. Yes, I braided my hair. I had a braiding business for four years. That’s how I made money little by little. Other than that, you have to do your own hair.
As for what kind of hair care products she would like to release, it would be ones that would help Black women with protective styling.
“It’s also something that especially helps with the protective style,” Page said. “Maybe things like mousse and edges that make it easier for Black women to care for their hair.”
Meanwhile, Page has been busy gaining support in the hair care field. She recently teamed up with Beyoncé’s CÉCRED hairline for a campaign shot at the brand’s salon.
“That girl! @serenaapagee graces the CÉCRED salon for a little post-villa TLC. Aau naturel and ‘What lace?!’ Both ready with our full foundation collection,” the brand captioned the post. I added.
