Vicki Gunvalson has been a California blonde for as long as we can remember. But before appearing on The Real Housewives of Orange County, the Illinois native’s hair wasn’t always exposed to the West Coast sun.
How to watch
Watch “The Real Housewives of Orange County” Thursdays at 9/8 and the following days on Peacock. Stay up to date with the Bravo app.
I found a photo of Vicky when she was younger in a series of old photos that can be viewed here. We were stunned to see an insurance industry CEO wearing a light brown outfit with flips like Farrah Fawcett.
Her bouncy hair wasn’t exactly a dark brunette color (compared to Don’t Be Tardy alum Kim Zolciak’s younger years), but it’s one of the best we’ve ever seen. It was a darker shade than Vicky. We might call it a bright blonde or a honey brunette.
Either way, we’re obsessed with the style and think she should give the ’70s-inspired look another try sometime in the future.
Old photos of Vicki Gunvalson from RHOC
In addition to that photo, we’ve collected some other old photos of Vicki over the years, including confessional shots from her various interviews since joining RHOC in 2006.
Just like Blonde, Vicki also seems to follow a similar format when it comes to style. In other words, it’s like a shoulder-length shag.
Vicki Gunvalson’s Housewife Journey
Vicki, who joined RHOC in Season 1 in 2006, reflected on her journey over the years on a September 2023 episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “You know how much I love you and the legacy we built together,” Vicki told host Andy Cohen about the episode. “We did this together as a family.”
Additionally, during BravoCon 2023, Vicki was happy to receive the first Wifetime Achievement Award on Bravos.
“I would like to thank all the Housewives fans and friends and the sisterhood of the cast members who filmed Season 1. Oh my god…18 years ago!” she said speaking in front of many brave celebs at the event. I did.
She continued: “Andy Cohen and Scott Dunlap for creating this series and seeing something in me that I didn’t see in myself. And this is something that has stuck with me throughout my life. It wouldn’t have been possible without the fans who supported me and loved me.”What I’ve been through and the good life I’ve had, who loved and supported me, hasn’t been easy. ”
She ended her speech jokingly. “And just so you all know, I didn’t drive to Las Vegas in the family van!”
