TYPEBEA, the performance-driven hair care brand founded by singer-songwriter Rita Ora and beauty entrepreneur Anna Lahey, has launched online and in-store at Boots.
This is a “significant step” in expanding the brand’s reach in the UK market following its launch earlier this year.
Inspired by Ora’s personal hair challenges and the deep connection between hair and confidence, the brand launched four products for the first time in April.
Aimed to “redefine your relationship with your hair, no matter its type”, it boasts sulfate, paraben and silicone-free ingredients as well as scalp care active ingredients, making it visible for a wide range of styles, textures and types of hair. Make it thicker, stronger, and longer.
TYPEBEA series includes:
Overnight Boosting Peptide. Shampoo for strength and length. Strength + length conditioner. Hydragloss processing.
The creation of TYPEBEA began after Ola first connected with Lahey through her global marine collagen brand, Vida Glow.
The two co-founders were inspired by Lahey’s traumatic battle with hair loss and Ola’s desire to find a hair growth solution that would help her regain confidence after years of damage from extreme heat and over-styling. We found common ground.
The launch at Boots strengthens the health and beauty retailer’s position as a destination for ‘top class’ hair care solutions.
Earlier this year, the high street chain expanded its hair care offering, adding a number of new brands and products to its online and in-store range, following the category’s success in 2023.
The news was announced as the British Beauty Council appointed Ora as its latest global ambassador. Under this partnership, she will work with the council to spotlight its efforts to secure the future of the beauty industry for everyone, while improving the industry as a whole.
Bringing a wealth of experience from the music, fashion and beauty industries, including TYPEBEA, Ora’s influence will be ‘effective’ and ‘invaluable’ in supporting increased awareness of diversity and inclusion in the sector. .
