Everyone and their moms too are jumping on the classic bob haircut right now. As a longtime bob enthusiast myself, may I brag? From boss (and HBIC beauty director) Keakes Reid to entertainment and lifestyle director Dusty Baxter-Wright, short style is all over the Cosmo UK office. Bob everywhere you look! But it won’t stop at our Leicester Square headquarters, with celebrities from all over the world in attendance. And today we welcome a hair legend to the brigade. It’s none other than Teacher Kelly Rowland! So if there’s anyone who knows how to rock this cut, it’s the Destiny’s Child alum.
Over the weekend, Kelly attended a campaign rally with US Vice President Kamala Harris, along with her longtime friend Beyoncé. At the event, Kelly appeared with a new super short hair look – a teeny tiny micro-bob. The cut is razor-sharp with chin length and finished with a sleek, shiny style.

From a hairstyling standpoint, this cut is a prime example of how short a bob can be before it approaches pixie territory. If it’s an inch shorter, it might be classified as a crop.

Now, while the cut is chic, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Kelly wear short hair. When Destiny’s Child first started out, the singer’s signature look was closely associated with the pixie cut. A classic example of this hairstyle is shown below, along with a photo of Kelly and her girl group attending the 42nd Annual Grammy Awards in 2000.
