If you live in New York City and have noticed colorful buzzcuts all over the subways, we’ll tell you why. Mobile video game Candy Crush has launched a fun Halloween campaign promoting Candy Crush Saga, the sequel to its first app. This includes free hair and makeup.
Candy Crush Saga will take over the Exhibition Salon in Greenpoint, Brooklyn on October 31st from 10am to 6pm. During this period, participants will be able to book complimentary hair styling appointments inspired by some of the pieces. Candies found on the screen while playing the OG “Do you have a game on your phone?” App.
With over 5 billion downloads, this free game has been a guilty pleasure for gamers around the world for nearly 12 years. The brand says the campaign aims to help users “embrace Candy Crush pride in full color.”
If you’re interested in participating, you can reserve your free slot on the Exhibition Salon on Vagaro’s website. Candy Crush will donate proceeds from this activity to Hair We Share, a nonprofit organization that provides hair services to people in need in the United States.
