Naga Munchetty is widely known for her ultra-chic pixie cut, which she’s kept going for years, but the BBC Breakfast star looked quite different while competing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2016.
Like many dance contestants, Naga is no stranger to changing her hairstyle, and by the second week of the competition, she had traded in her stylish short hair for big, bouncy curls.
The 49-year-old announcer, paired with Pasha Kovalev, captivated the crowd as she danced the cha-cha to “Fool in Love” in a sequined gold dress.
At the time, Naga made her first-ever Instagram post, showing off her bold makeover, writing, “Amazing transformation last week! @lucajoneshair is still working its magic today!”

Unfortunately, Naga and Pasha were eliminated during the fourth week of the competition, as the judges chose to save singer Anastasiya and professional dancer Brendan Cole.
“I’m disappointed. I’m really disappointed. I didn’t want to quit and I had so much fun. I’m really sad that I won’t be able to dance with Pasha,” Naga said after the results were read out.
She praised Pasha, adding: “He’s amazing, such an amazing, wonderful person. I’m so grateful that he’s been so patient and worked so hard with me.”
Pasha returned the compliment, saying, “We’ve always had fun and I’m just amazed at how much you’ve improved. It’s the best thing and the best thing I could hope for.”

“We practiced hard and you have become such a beautiful dancer. Thank you for being the best student I have ever had, always so determined and so much fun.”
