Maintaining healthy, shiny hair is a goal for many, but achieving it requires more than just a quick wash and go.
Speaking to GB News, the hair expert explained that vibrant hair is the result of a holistic approach to hair care.
Expert advice from Claudia, founder of Hollywood Hair, reveals that to achieve the best hairstyle, you need to take into account a variety of internal and external factors.
She said: “Healthy, radiant hair is the result of multiple factors working in harmony, including care, styling habits, diet and overall health.”
Heat Protection is Important for Healthy Hair

Experts explained that choosing the right hair care products is important to maintain healthy hair.
She said: “For example, if your hair is damaged or dyed, choose products that deeply moisturise and repair, such as those with argan oil or coconut oil.”
“For dull, lifeless hair, look for treatments rich in proteins and keratin to restore shine and vitality.”
There are many shampoos, conditioners and other hair treatments on the market, but not all of these are suitable for all hair types. When choosing a product, consider your hair type, condition, length and purpose.
Another thing that women must do to have shiny, healthy hair is to protect it from hot styling tools, which can damage hair, dry it out, make it brittle and prone to breakage.
Claudia adds: “Always apply a heat protectant spray before using styling tools like hairdryers, curling irons and straighteners, and before exposure to the sun.”
While experts stressed the importance of finding the right topical products, people may not realize how much nutrition impacts their hair.
Foods high in protein and vitamins such as biotin, vitamin C, iron and zinc are especially beneficial for your hair.
A healthy diet improves the condition of your hair

Claudia adds: “Diet also plays a key role – if your diet is unhealthy it can quickly affect the condition of your hair.”
“To boost hair health from the inside, aim for a balanced, vitamin-rich diet. When in doubt, consult a doctor to address any underlying deficiencies.”
