With less than a week left until fall (I can’t believe it either), I’ve started unpacking my fall skincare and haircare products to transition my beauty routine into the cooler, drier months. No matter the season, my hair and skin are chronically dry, and living in Los Angeles means I struggle to find the best products for my dry hair and skin. But after recently adding the coveted Gisou hair oil to my post-shower routine, I think I may have found the hair serum of my dreams.

Gisu Hair Oil Review
Despite my dryness, my long hair is relatively healthy. I attribute this to regular trims (a must if you want long hair), switching to semi-permanent hair color, and minimizing heat styling (I’ve been using Dyson Airwrap almost exclusively for the past 5 years). But hair health aside, the dryness has made my hair lose its shine, feel a bit straw-like, and get pretty frizzy when I let it air dry. I’m not one to put a ton of product on my hair, but after adding Gisou Hair Oil to my routine and treating it like a good, nourishing facial serum for my hair (which I never fail to use), I’ve found that giving my hair a little extra life with this elixir is a complete game changer.
This hair oil is formulated with Mirsalehi honey, a natural humectant (meaning it attracts moisture), and is packed with vitamins, amino acids, antioxidants, and minerals to improve hair hydration and boost shine. It also contains a bee garden oil blend of eight different oils, including sweet almond oil and coconut oil, for extra nourishment. Plus, it’s infused with Vitamin E, which provides antioxidant and UV protection, which will definitely come in handy in sunny Los Angeles.
In terms of appearance, I haven’t noticed a huge change in my hair—it’s a little shinier, and it blow-dries smoother every time I use the Dyson Styler—but since I’ve incorporated this into my routine, the texture of my hair has completely changed. Deeply nourishing for dry hair, the hair oil works its magic to soften dry hair, leaving it super smooth after a blow-dry or between washes when the moisture in your hair evaporates (at least, that’s how it seems).
After a few weeks of testing, I can wholeheartedly say that no matter your hair type, this oil is worth adding to your hair care routine. It’s a deeply nourishing oil, but with a lighter texture, it won’t weigh your hair down. Its natural moisturizing ingredients leave hair hydrated, soft and with a slightly shiny finish, it leaves hair looking healthier.
