Gabby Thomas is heading to New York City on Thursday to compete in the all-women’s historic track event Athlos NYC, but in addition to racing, she’s also enjoying some time to see the city.
On Tuesday night, Thomas showed off her incredibly toned abs while attending the WNBA playoff game between the top-seeded New York Liberty and the Atlanta Dream. The track and field star also got to meet Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu courtside for some great photos.
Thomas posted a video from the top of the Empire State Building to her Instagram Story on Wednesday. The 27-year-old Austin, Texas, native showed off what the wind does to her hair from the main deck of the building’s famed 86th floor, which sits 1,050 feet above the Manhattan skyline.

The strong winds didn’t stop Thomas from looking gorgeous. Maybe she brought a fun gift from her boyfriend to the top. Either way, it’s great to see the three-time Olympic gold medalist having fun and smiling after all the hard work she’s put in this summer.
When his hair wasn’t tousled, Thomas posed for photos in a Tommy Hilfiger blazer.

The Athlos NYC event will feature performances from Olympians Masai Russell, Faith Kipyegon, Alexis Holmes and Torrey Lewis, with musical guest Megan Thee Stallion.
Thomas won’t care about his hair on Thursday. It’s all work.
