As I’ve said before, I’m a hair freak. I think once I’ve scrunched my hair, it’s done. Since I received the Texturizing Air Dry Mousse a month ago, I’ve been working it into my hair in small amounts, using claw clips to separate each layer. I’ve found that this creates more overall volume and a lot more curl. And when I leave the house (or head out), I use the Dyson Airwrap to push my bangs down my forehead.
Pro tip: You can also use this mousse on non-wash days. Just wet your hair, pump a few times and watch your curls come to life.

Once my hair dries, it leaves it with bouncy, natural curls and tons of volume. While other mousses can leave my hair feeling dry and stiff, Crown Affair mousse leaves my hair feeling soft and silky to the touch.

According to Goeldner, this texture is down to the product’s ingredients list: “This mousse is packed with good things for your hair. It contains camellia seed oil and panthenol, two powerful ingredients that penetrate deep into your hair to keep it moisturized,” Goeldner says. “This is especially beneficial for curly hair, which can be naturally prone to dryness and frizz.”
Personally, I find that even after using the mousse, there’s still a lot of hair sticking out on the top of my head, so I finish off my routine with a bit of anti-frizz cream on areas that need it. I’ve also noticed that the results are even better on the second day – the frizz is tamed and my curls look a bit looser and more casual.
You don’t have to have a certain hair type like mine (thin and curly) to benefit from this product. Goeldner says this hair mousse works for just about everyone. “It can add texture to those with fine, straight hair, and help create more definition for wavy or curly hair. This mousse is especially great for those with curly hair because it contains moisturizing ingredients that really complement the styling of curly hair,” she explains.
Conclusion
On days when I want the perfect curl in my hair, I use Crown Affair’s Texturizing Air Dry Mousse. It’s on the pricey side at $38, but I’ve been using it twice a week for a month and still have about two-thirds of the bottle left. I love the way my hair feels, the way it smells, and the compliments I get from friends about how bouncy my curls look, which means I actually enjoy my curly hair.
