A new TikTok trend is making waves across the platform, and thousands of beauty lovers are eager to try it out.
Celebrating the “calico” trend, the new color in town takes inspiration from the calico’s fur pattern and three different colors: black or brown, blonde, copper or red.
The clip shared by @__bysole, showcasing her new hair, garnered nearly 4 million views and thousands more comments from fellow TikTokers.
One person wrote, “I’ve never seen calico hair before!! I have brown hair now, so I want calico hair,” while another said, “I love it, but calico bc I would like to do the opposite, like in the states,” he added. Now let’s take a look at tortoiseshell hair! ”

Elsewhere, avid TikTokers will know about “hair theory,” but many are scratching their heads at its vague description.
It sounds like a secret term after “mascara” and “304,” but it hardly needs any introduction.
In one viral clip from user @lov3h8, the TikToker features a montage of herself wearing different hairstyles.
According to HITC, the premise behind this theory is that hairstyles can completely change a person’s appearance, and this is not a new concept as many hairdressers would say.
This theory may not be backed up by science, but it does show that Gen Z is in a bind.
“So you’re telling me…all I need to do is change the parting of my hair and it’ll instantly look more beautiful,” one stunned TikToker commented, while another TikToker emphasized how “real” it is.
