Paris Fashion Week is in full swing. And the City of Lights does not disappoint. This year’s show opened on September 23rd and ended on October 1st. Besides the stunning pieces from the spring/summer collections we’ve seen so far (Saint Laurent, Courrèges, and Schiaparelli are some of my early favorites!), the hairstyles, both on and off the runway , it was just as fun to witness.
Because while Fashion Week is about fashion, the shows also have a history of influencing our current and future beauty choices. Remember those little crystals on the outside of the eyes that you saw on Thom Browne’s AW24 runway? Or maybe Pat McGrath’s porcelain dolls for Maison Margiela? Of course you do.
However, it is hairstyles that are gaining attention this year. From long braids to loose waves, here are five trends we love.
pixie cut
If you’ve been looking for short selling signals, look no further. From runway models to show attendees, the pixie cut is everywhere. A styled pixie looks incredibly chic whether you wear your bangs slicked back or cut with fringe bangs.

cornrows
Black celebrities, influencers, and runway models such as Willow Smith and Amanda Stenberg have been spotted wearing cornrows and braids. Both are perfect defensive styles for the cold winter months.

copper hair
Copper hair is a long-standing trend that often appears in the fall. There’s a good reason for that. It’s the perfect color for fall. There are many ways to customize the shade of red to suit your skin tone. This year, deep copper and copper with reddish-brown hues seem to be in the spotlight.

loose shaggy curls
This season, loose shaggy curls are here. The ’70s-inspired style uses face-framing layers to create shape and volume. This versatile style works well with any hair length and is perfect for those who value their natural texture.

Lick back bread
The classic style that has dominated the runways, red carpets, and our feeds has proven that it’s not going anywhere anytime soon. This season, slicked back buns and ponytails were especially popular among celebrities.
