A Portland woman is preparing to shave her head to support her best friend during cancer treatment.
Kelly Sengelow has paid tribute to her best friend of 17 years, hairdresser Tash Wilkins, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in May.
Tash is currently undergoing chemotherapy and has lost all of her hair.
To support her friend, Kelly, 43, decided to shave her head while raising money for Breast Cancer UK.

“I wanted to support her so she doesn’t have to go through this alone.
“I dyed my hair pink, a color associated with breast cancer. I’m often approached and asked why I did it, and I can talk about fundraising and shaving my head. Masu.
“It’s all about raising awareness and supporting our friends as much as we can.”
The head shaving event will be held today, Saturday, September 28th at 3pm at the Punchbowl Inn on Easton Street in Portland. Tash is not susceptible to colds, so he plans to watch the match live from home.

Furthermore, she added: “When I first told her I was going to shave my head, she was like, ‘Oh, I can’t do that,’ but she was blown away by all the support for it. “And when it comes down to it, I get pretty emotional.” We talk about it.
Ms Kelly has so far raised £475 through an online fundraiser and hopes to raise even more at the event to fight the disease which “takes so many lives”.
Furthermore, she added: “Most people have cancer or know someone who has. One woman gave me a large donation and told me that she had lost her mother to breast cancer.”
“We would love for everyone to come out and show their support. We know these are difficult times, but just being there on the day will mean just as much as a donation.
“If you can donate, please show your support. Please understand that times are tough. Even if someone shows support, having someone there means just as much as a donation.” There is.”
